We've added this option for those who'd like to upgrade their shipping from the standard USPS Priority shipping ($7) to USPS Express ($30), which will expedite production and delivery, usually next day after the book has been made. In certain occasions, FedEX or UPS overnights will be used.

The $23 charge reflects the difference.
